Vanderbilt Middle School is an exciting place to be!

Middle school is a place for students to grow and learn to make important choices for themselves and their future. At Vanderbilt, students have the opportunity to choose from various classes and sports.
In addition to our excellent Science and History classes, we have our standard 6th, 7th and 8th grade Math and Language Arts classes and an accelerated Math and Language Arts classes for those that are ready to move ahead. In addition, each student also has the opportunity to choose classes of interest to them, including: Music Appreciation, Band, Choir, Art, Yearbook, P.E., Spanish, Computers, Study Skills, Leadership, Drama and Robotics.

In 6th grade we kick off the year with a great team building and friendship strengthening 3-day camp at Camp Henry. This is an excellent way to start out the fun middle school years.
Our 7th grade students are excited to end the year with a trip to Chicago. This trip is educational and fun.
8th grade is the most exciting year of all. Our students can hardly wait for the end of the year, not only to move on to high school, but for the exciting trip to Washington D. C. that they take. This is a whirlwind trip of learning and enjoying the friendships that have been established throughout the years.

After school activities are available as well. Our students enjoy participating in the extra activities we have available for them, such as: Basketball, Soccer, Cross Country, Color Guard, Volleyball, Student Government, Local Spelling Bee and Ski Club.
